Western Isles Calendar 2003

We publish calendars annually of the following areas: Orkney, Shetland, Western Isles and Caithness. The calendars are 21x21cm with 12 pictures plus cover. The pictures are all new.  As usual the calendars are widely available in each area, but may be ordered direct, either via e-mail charles.tait@zetnet.co.uk, telephone or fax. Retail price is £4.50 per calendar plus UK postage and packing of £1. Overseas post and packaging is extra at cost (US, Canada and Australia $10US including airmail). Payment by Visa, Mastercard or American Express is preferred.  2003 calendars were published in July 2002 and are available for immediate delivery. We can also send calendars directly to friends or relatives if you wish.

Rubha Ardvule, is the most westerly point on South Uist, and a good place for sea watching. The bay on the south side is especially pleasant.

Tiumpan Head is the most easterly point on Lewis. The lighthouse was first lit in 1900 and was made automatic in 1985. In Summer this is a good place from which to watch for cetaceans.

Rona from the east. This lovely little island is 44 miles NNE from the Butt of Lewis.

Dun Borranais, Uig Sands, Lewis is unique in that its causeway is tidal. On the shore at Timsgarry it overlooks the gorgeous Uig Bay.

Port na Cille, Borve, Barra is a small geo on the west side of the island which has a ruined broch and the remains of an ancient chapel.

Port Stoth, Ness, lewis was the old harbour and landing place for the area and also was used to land stores for the nearny Butt of Lewis lighthouse.

Bagh Steinige, Scarista, Harris is a very attractive small cove facing the Atlantic Ocean.
