The
original Orkney Guide Book was first published in 1991. Through
its various editions the book has been critically acclaimed and has
become the visitor's "bible" to Orkney. The 2011 series includes
the North Highlands of Scotland, Shetland, the Outer Hebrides and the
Isle of Skye. These books feature Charles' work and are a distillation
of his knowledge of each area gained through extensive travels, photography
and research. They are designed to maximise the visitor's appreciation
of his or her time during a stay and to be authoritative and interesting
without being wordy.
