Callanish The spectacular Standing Stones ar Callanish are in the form of avenues sunning nearly N,S,E,W and also feature a circle of large monoliths at the centre, as well as a small Chambered Cairn. The Stones are especially dramatic at dawn and dusk. They were almost totally covered in peat until the mid-19th century.
