Sea
Transport
Sea transport
to Orkney has recently (1st October 2002) undergone a complete change,
with P&O Scottish Ferries being replaced by Northlink who won the
contract with the Government to provide services from Kirkwall to Aberdeen
and Lerwick and from Stromness to Scrabster. Internal shipping services
are run by Orkney Ferries to the North and South Isles.
