Italian
Chapel
The Italian
Chapel was built by Italian prisoners-of-war who were engaged in building
the Churchill Barriers in WWII. It now remains as a moving gesture to
peace and friendship and is one of the most visited place in Orkney. Italian
ex-POWs and their families regularly visit and the people of Orkney are
especially proud of their little gem.
