Bressay & Noss

Bressay forms the east side of Bressay Sound, and is what makes Lerwick such a good harbour. There is a panoramic view from the Ward of Bressay (226m), while Kirkabister Ness lighthouse guards the South Mouth. The cliffs of the Ord are dwarfed by Noss Head (181m) which is home to thousands of breeding seabirds, notably many Gannets, in summer. Noss is a Nature Reserve and can be visited in summer.
