Burra
& Trondra
The
islands of Trondra and Burra Isle are joined to the Mainland by bridges.
Burra itself is divided into West and East Burra, and there is a sizeable
settlement at Hamnavoe. There are several very fine beaches especially
those at Meal and Banna Minn. There are early Christian remains at Papil
where the Papil Stone was found. Both islands are very green and the
scenery is gentler than much of the rest of Shetland.
