Isle
Fair
Isle lies 24 miles south of Sumburgh and remains a vibrant community
despite its isolation. Famous for its migrant birds and knitwear patterns,
the island has two lighthouses and in summer is home to many breeding
seabirds. Now owned by the National trust for Scotland, it can be reached
by sea and air from the Shetland Mainland.
