Finback Whale - Balaenoptera physalus

Fin Whales are the second largest animals after the Blue Whale. They are one of the most commonly seen whales in the Northern Hemisphere, but are still vulnerable as they were intensively killed for many years. The shots here were all taken over the Stellwagen Bank, off Provincetown, Massachusetts, USA. All are digital shots taken with a Nikon D100.
