Whale - Megaptera novaeangliae
Humpback
Whales are commonly seen on whale-watch trips and perform frequently.
The dorsal fin is small, more like a hump or hook, while the tail is
often ragged on the trailing edge. The flippers are very long and are
often waved and splashed. These images were shot in Alaska and Massachusetts
Bay, but Humpbacks are also regularly seen off Shetland and at many
other locations.
